About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Holding Indonesian passport and canada permanent resident

Hi there, I am holding Indonesian passport and I am a Canada permanent resident. I am going to visit Indonesia and my flight will have to transit in Hong Kong for about 9 hours before going to Indonesia. Do I need a transit visa in Hong Kong eventhough I will not go out from airport area? Please help!

Diyah, you don’t need it to transit in Hong Kong because you hold Indonesian passport, you can enjoy free entry to enter HK for a stay of no more than 30 days. You just need to take your passport, and the onward ticket with you.
