144 hour free transit Visa

Can we travel from Los Angeles (United States) to Seoul, Korea to Shanghai and then back to Seoul and then Los Angeless and stay the 144 hours in Shanghai?

Tim, you can't travel like this if you want to enjoy the 144-hour free stay in Shanghai. You can take a flight direct to LA or via another country instead of South Korea on your way back.
