Beijing to Chengde Transportation

To the Mountain Resort, take coach from Liuliqiao Bus Station and arrive at Chengde East Bus Station first. The buses depart from 05:40 to 19:00. It costs CNY 85 per person. The duration is about 3 hours. After that, take a taxi to the scenic area. The cab fare is CNY 20 to 30.

To Mulan Paddocks, also take coach from Liuliqiao Bus Station. The ticket fare is CNY 113 per person. The schedules are from 05:40, 06:20, 07:00, 07:20, 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 12:00, 13:10, 15:30, 17:00 and 19:30. It takes around 3 to 4 hours on the way.

But the booking system is in Chinese, so you may ask your Chinese friends for help. The seat is soft, and you can adjust it. If by train, you may book the train ticket through TravelChinaGuide.
