About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is the 72-hour Visa-free Transit efective if i travel by train from HK to GZ for 1 night?

I am flying into HK and then would like to get a train to GZ for 1 night and return to HK.

Jyotsna, the 72 hour free transit is not applicable to the situation you mentioned above because the 72 hour policy is only for those travel by flight. As for your situation, I’m afraid you have to apply for an entry permit beforehand if you want travel to Guangzhou from HK.
