I am Chinese living on the Mainland - I will go for holiday in Thailand but I have to change planes in the airport in Hong Kong. Do I need a special visa for Hong Kong if I do not leave the airport?

Jasmine, you don’t need one because you can enjoy a 7-day transit permit in HK as long as you hold valid entry permit and confirmed air ticket to Thailand.
