About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

The Visa application asks for a "Local ID/Citizen Number"

Hello,

I am a U.S. Citizen going to Shanghai for a 4 day business conference.

The application asks for a "Local ID/Citizen Number" are they asking for a Driver's License Number or do they want my Social Security Number?

Hi there! You can put either number. Both are acceptable.
