shanghai to beijing for a day tour. any advise for 2 ladies travelling alone?

Plan to reach early morning and do a day your and returning eve by g train to Shanghai.

Hope you can have a full day. Well, you can visit the Forbidden City upon arriving and the roam around the Tainanmen Square. After that, head for Wangfujing Pedestrian Street for dining and shopping. Then go back to Shanghai.

it took us a whole day to visit Forbidden City alone, and you want to do all that in less than 12 hours? not wise, but you can try, ha ha ha

Go to the Forbidden City and Nanluoguxiang is a good  choice.
