from hong kong to guangzhou by train without visa

Hello, I'm going to be in Hong Kong but my flight leaves from Guangzhou to Paris, I was wondering if I could go from hong kong to Guangzhou by train, from the moment I arrive at the station at Guangzhou to the moment My flight will depart from the airport there will be more or less 3 to 4 hours. Am I eligible to pass by without an entry permit? Or should I take a flight from hong kong to guangzhou? Thank you very much.

In my opinion, you qualify for the 24-hour free transit facility. So you can pass by without an entry permit and you don't need to fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou.
