Question

Hi. It would be my first applying for CN visa. Would it be fine if I apply for double entry or multiple entry though it is my first visit or application? Also, what type is appropriate if the reason of visit is my Chinese boyfriend? Is that a valid reason to get Q type?

Elaina, if you just come for the first time, then your chance of getting a double or multiple entries is very little. Since you two haven't been married, it's impossible for you to apply for Q type. In my opinion, you can apply for a single-entry tourist type. Usually, duration of stay is around 30 days. You can ask your BF to send you an invitation letter and a copy of his Chinese ID card (both sides). Besides, you have to provide financial standings, such as your recent six months bank statement, BIR-stamped tax form or professional ID.
