About:Mutianyu Great Wall

Please can you advise on travelling to Mutianyu by train?

I've read that there is a tourist train leaving from Beijing North during the National Holiday Week. Does this train run outside of this period and does it only leave Beijing once a day at 07h10?

Lindsay, there is no direct train to the wall. I didn't find any related information on its website. If you really wan to experience the train, you should take train from Beiing Railway Station to Huairou. Getting out of the Huairou Station, you can easily find the bus station. There you can take bus H14 to Yujiayuan Station and then change H24 to get there. It takes long time to wait for the bus. I think you can find some other travellers to hire a car/van to the wall. There are vans/cards waiting outside of the bus station.
