About:Chinese Consulate in Zurich

Mainland China --> Hong Kong -->Mainland China: Need double-entry visa?

Or is Hong Kong considered third region for visa purpose?

Yes, Hong Kong is regard as a third region for immigration issues, so you need double entries to enter mainland.
