My Rabbit in business this month

Good afternoon, My rabbit has recently had some bad news with this job in another country. He is very discouraged and as a result, or it seems so to me, he is not answering my phone calls or responding to my texts. He has now asked me to lend him money so he can return to the States. It seems he purchased a one-way ticket to Malaysia. I don't even know if he is really there or not.

This is getting very suspicious. I do not understand why he cannot purchase his own ticket home. He says he will pay me back when he gets back to the States, but if he can do that when he returns, why can't he just purchase his own, and his son's, airline tickets from there? I hate that he seems to be shutting me out. I cannot help him financially, but he doesn't even want to talk to me about it. Is it that he is embarrassed because he did not do his homework about all the things that he would have to do in Malaysia? He sounds so very depressed, and I feel that when I am wanting to talk to him and do call him, I am putting more pressure on him. My gut tells me to break this off and move on. What do you think?
