About:Year of the Sheep / Goat / Ram

Why is it referred to as the Year of the Goat? It was always either the Ram or Sheep.

Hey, here is my understanding about this. Hope it would help.
The animal GOAT exists in the traditional Chinese culture; while the SHEEP and RAM were in the western culture. As the animal sign is also a kind of traditional Chinese culture, so they use the Chinese traditional animal goat to refer to this.
