About:China Student Visa

Hi I'm wondering is it possible to travel to Hong Kong on a x2 visa while studying aboard in China?

Actually you can travel to Hong Kong without the entry permit for a stay less than 90 days. But if your X2 is a single-entry type, you can't re-enter mainland after the travel but to have to apply for another one.
