About:Chinese Embassy in Argentina

Is a Dutch citizen able to apply for a Chinese visa in Buenos Aires?

I'm from Holland and in the end of january I'll travel to buenos aires where I'll be spending 3 months learning spanish. Furthermore, in the end of april I'm going to travel to China for two weeks (everything is already booked). However, there is one problem as I'm not able to apply in the Netherlands as the minimum date to apply only 3 months before departure and at that moment I'll be in Buenos Aires. Is it possible for me to arrange it in Buenos Aires? And for how long does the embassy need to take in my passport?

Many thanks in advance,
Emma

Yes, Emma, you can apply it in Buenos Aires. In addition to your passport and phtocopy of its data page, filled application form, recently taken photo, and roundtrip tickets and hotel reservations, you need to provide your stay or resident permit in Argentina. Generally speaking, the embassy will keep your passport for four weekdays for the processing.
