About:Zhengzhou Travel

I came to know that Shaolin Temple comes under the jurisdiction of Zhengzhou city.

Due to my itinerary constraint, I intend to go to Shaolin Temple from Luoyang.

So my questions will be...

1) Will there be any problem going to Shaolin Temple from Luoyang?
2) Is there any local travel agency in Luoyang offering a conducted day tour to Shaolin Temple?
3) How long is the journey from Luoyang to Shaolin Temple?

Would appreciate that you experts out there provide answers/advices in the order of my questions above.

No, there is no problem. In the Luoyang Bus Station, there are direct buses to the temple, leaving at 07:20, 08:20 and 09:20. You can get up early and take the first one.

In Luoyang, there are local agencies operating the one day trip to the temple, but there is no guarantee about it, and it’s hard to find such English-speaking packages. You are suggested to explore the temple on your own, you can have more fun.

The bus ride from Luoyang to the temple is about 1 hour and the bus fare is about CNY25.

By the way, if you want to go back to Luoyang in one day, just take the bus before 18:00 so that you can surely get a bus.
