Question

we are looking to visit the great wall on 25th december. we will be travelling from Beijing train station can you advise the best one to travel from on that date and where too. We would like to spend most of the day walking as far as we can however appreciate that due to the weather some places may be more dangerous than others, please could you advise the best place to visit? Thank you.

Kim, I think you may visit Simatai section. It will be open when you go there on December 25. It is open from 09：00~17：00.  You can take bus No.980 to from Beijing Dongzhimen Long Distance Bus Station to Miyun West Bridge Station and change Bus Line Mi 38 or 51 (or any local buses with sign “Miyun-Simatai”) to Simatai Village Station.
