forbidden city to tiananmen, beijing

Please Advice, it possible walking from Forbidden City To Tiananmen?If I stay at Grand Skylight  Hotel, what number subway to Forbidden city or Tiananmen, or maybe any transportation to there?

The two scenic spots are so close and you can certainly walk between. From this hotel to either of them, bus is more convenient than subway. Well then, u can walk from the hotel to Anhuiqiao North bus stop to take bus no. 124 to the Forbidden City directly. Upon getting off, you can easily walk to the Tiananmen Square.
