Hello, I am a British Citizen currently living and working in Baku, Azerbaijan. I would like to visit Beijing and understand I need a visa. I have my passport and a Azerbaijani Temporary Resident Permit.

Sian, you can apply for a L type from Chinese embassy in Azrbaijan since you have temporary resident permit. The required documents are your passport, finished application form, a recent passport photo, return air tickets, hotel reservation in China and your temporary residence permit (original and copy versions).
