what were some of the dangers along the silk road trading route?

1. The environment was very bad, especially the terrain. They had to pass the desert, wetland and other extreme lands to trade.
2. There might be robbers on the journey, so they also took the risk losing the products, treasures even their lives.

They would die from sickness, because no doctors and good medicines were available.
