traveling in taiwanhotelshopping issue

Question

I am visiting Taiwan soon want to start in the city centre of Taipei near the main Market and shops I am looking to stay at reasonable priced hotels are they easy to find. Also is the airport far to the Centre and is it easy to use the bus or should I just use a taxi  Many thanks

I stayed in the XIMEN CITIZEN HOTEL in Taipei city. I remember the accommodation fare was no more than 600RMB per night per night. Is it ok for you? It's really a good hotel with convenient location and surroundings (Hsimenting/Ximenting Commercial Area nearby). If you mean the Taoyuan Airport, I suggest you take local bus to travel. To the hotel I mentioned above, you can take bus no. 1819 to Taipei Railway Station and then walk to Taipei MRT station to take the MRT to Ximen Station. Then you can easily walk there!
