About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Manila - Beijing - Shanghai - Paris

I am flying to into Beijing and then on to Paris but I have to change flights in Shanghai. It is all within the 72 hour period and I will not be leaving Shanghai airport. Do I qualify?

I am afraid not. But if the total stay in China is less than 24 hours, you just need to apply for a stay permit at Beijing airport providing your passport and flight ticket.
