About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Joining my husband (Hong Kong permanent resident) living in China. What sort of visa do I need?

My husband is Chinese and a Hong Kong permanent resident working in Beijing. I am an Australian citizen, but also a Hong Kong permanent resident (but not Chinese.) What do I need to join him and live in China (3-5+ years.) Can I then work on this or do I need to reapply for a Work Z?

You can apply for Q1 type if you want to stay in beijing for longer time. But once you find a job, you have to apply for work Z then residence permit based on the working contract.
