About:China Work Visa

Z-visa required for work permit

I am owner and general manager of a WFOE in Shanghai. I live and work in Europe.
My company now wants to start to pay a salary to myself.

Could you please let me know, which kind I need in order to be entitled to officially receive a salary?
- Work permit?
- Visa / type of visa?
Due to business constraints I cannot stay for more than 5 working days at one time! I will continue to live in Europe! In the past I used to enter with F.

Hi, if you do paid work here, you need to get a work permit first then apply for a Z type from Chinese embassy. And you can apply for a residence permit based on your contract, the validity of residence permit can be issued for 5 years so that you can use it to exit and re-enter China freely. So just ask you company to handle this work permit for you first.
