I got an invitation letter to attend a trade fair in China, when i showed it to a friend, he said such an invitation is not accepted at the china embassy for visa, he claimed that the invitation letter should be government one.I really need to know if an invitation letter from a trade fair organizer in china is valid enough.

According to the new regulations, the invitation letter from a trade organizer is enough for application. So, you are suggested to contact the embassy directly if the letter should be stamped by local Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
