Can I transfer a Chinese multiple entry visa to my new passport?

I have a valid multiple entry business one, but had to renew my UK passport. Can I transfer it to my new passport, and if so how?

Or do I have to apply for a new one now?

I am resident in Malaysia.

Hi, it is not necessary to do so, you can take both the old and new passport for entry. If you do need it to be in your new passport, you can transfer it to your new passport at local PSB where you live.
