6 days tour from kunming/lijiang/kunming by train.

Question

We have 5 nights 6 days and plan to travel from Kunming to Lijiang and back to Kunming to catch our evening flight back. Is it possible to cover all these places by bus or train? Taking bus or train (morning or night will do) is faster and more convenient? Any recommended budget hotel (USD45-USD55) in Kunming city centre with steet food and shopping malls nearby? Thanks.

Yes. Time is enough for you to cover all the places you mentioned. You may take overnight train from Kunming to Lijiang and back to Kunming, which is more comfortable and convenient.
