L application with invitation letter. Do I still need bank statement?

My friend in Canada is planning to send me Invitation Letter for Tourist issued by Authorized Travel Agency in China. And this is going to be my first time. I would like to know if I still need to have a BIR-Stamped income tax return form, recent 6 months bank statement and original bank receipt are required.

Hi, you are suggested to contact the embassy directly for this. As I know, BIR-Stamped income tax return form, bank statement and original receipt are required for first-time applicants.
