About:Chinese Consulate in Manchester

I want to travel to Beijing this week. My visit will be for less than 72 hours. Do I need a visa?

Visa is not required if you just transit through Beijing with confirmed ticket to a third country or region (HK/Macao/Taiwan) leaving within 72 hours.
