About:Chinese Consulate in Sydney

Do we need to apply any kind of visa to entry Kuang Zhou for less than 24 hours

We are New Zealand passports holders, and we will have 17 hours layover at Kwang Zhou Airport on the way back to Sydney. Do we need one if we would like to go to the city and have a look round rather than just staying at the airport to wait for the next flight to Sydney. Thank you !

It is not required, but you need to apply for a transit permit after landing at the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport.
