transit visa for sri lankans on cathey pacific to japan via hong kong

I am a Sri Lankan passport holder due to fly to Japan via Hong Kong by Cathey Pacific from Colombo  in early December and return to Sri Lanka within  a week.  Do I have to obtain a Transit visa? Where should I go to for it.  N. Gunatilleke

Yes, you need to obtain a transit visa in advance. You can submit your application to Chinese embassy in Sri Lanka. Documents needed are your passport, photo, application form and the flight ticket.
