About:China Customs Declaration

Allowance of bringing cigarettes and cigars?

I am travelling to Hubei province(Central China) connecting through Hong Kong from Abu Dhabi.Although I will not be exiting Hong Kong Intl. Airport.I will be waiting inside the airport for about 8 hours only.And then I will catch a flight to Hubei.So please help me by letting me know all the info about the tax and duty if any.thanks a lot for any help.:D

400 cigarettes ans 100 cigars into mainland China. Hong Kong has new rules about these since 2010, cigarette 19 and cigar only one. If you bring more, you have to pay duties. I suggest you contact the airlines. Generally speaking, you do not have to pass the immigration of Hong Kong but your lugguage will be checked in Hong Kong.
