what is the easiest & quickest way to renew my hksar passport?

my HKSAR Passport is expired, I'm now in Vancouver, so what is the easiest & quickest way to renew? If I want to leave from Vancouver to China, what types of travel document do I need? I have HK permanent ID & China return permit, do I still need the HKSar passport to travel?

You can renew your HKSAR passport at China Consulate in Vancouver, but it takes a long time, the application will be mailed into the Immigration Department of Hong Kong Government by the consulate. You need take your HKSAR passport, HK permanent ID & China return permit to go to China. You need HKSAR passport to board the plane.
