About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

Do I need flights and an Itinerary for a tourist visa to China?

I am planning to visit my friends who are working in Beijing. I will be staying with them as well as travelling with them. Is it enough to have my return flights to Ireland when I am applying for the tourist visa in the Chinese embassy in Ireland or will I need to have more details about where I will be staying and travelling to? Would a letter/email from my friends be adequate?

Yes, the two-way flight details and itinerary are required for a tourist visa to China. You can ask your friend send you an invitation letter together with the copy of his passport and China residence permit. In the invitation letter, he can write the planned travel itinerary randomly. Please write that you will visit tibet on the invitation letter and visa application form.
