Buddhism came into China along the ancient Silk Road. Generally, Buddhism is regarded to come into China in the Han Dynasty, almost at the same period of the silk Road. In East Jin Dynasty, Monk Faxian went on his journey to India for buddhisst sutras. After Middle Tang Dyansty, the Silk Road was block off by the Tubo Kingdom for a while. The Marine Silk Road came into being.
