About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

I am flying in on china eastern airlines from Canada on route to bangkok. I was told I will need to get my suitcase myself and then go to check in again on Shanghai airlines for my flight to bangkok ( even thought it was all booked through china eastern air they told me it's a different airline check in?). will this be easy to do? I have 4 hours between flights but I am worried...is the check in terminal close to the arrivals? if anyone has directions it would be much appreciated..

Hi, 4 hours are enough for you to do this transfer.
There are nine counters to handle the transfer and transit service in the central part of the international arrival concourse. After arranging the boarding check, take the dedicated elevator up to the international CIQ Area, awaiting departure (minimum time duration about 29 minutes).
