About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Hi I am intending to do a backpacking trip around Yunnan this coming May(around 20 days). I know I will need to apply a tourist visa. It said that hotel reservation is required but I will be staying in hostel throughout my trip, I wonder if hostel reservation is acceptable for the application of visa? Also, do i need to prove my accommodation for my WHOLE trip in China because I reckon I will change my itinerary as I travel. Thanks.

As I know, the Youth Hostel Reservation is accepted for visa application. You can provide the accommodation of first some days. Singapore passport holders are exempt from a visa to Mainland China for up to 14 days, you can go to the Exit & Enter Department in Kunming to apply for a visa when you have visited Yunnan for 10 days. In addition, please refer to Yunnan Tours(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/yunnan/) to arrange your backpacking trip around Yunnan.
