About:China Transit Visa

Hello. I am a UK citizen but I hold an E2 Visa to live and work in South Korea (I currently live in South Korea). I have a flight from Bangkok to Seoul which stops over in Shanghai Pudong Airport, during which time I have to transfer to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport for my flight to Seoul. I will therefore have to leave the Pudong airport to travel to the next airport. It will be a one hour journey. Do I have to get a visa for this?

yes, you have to get a China transit visa because you go out of the Shanghai Pudong Airport and go to Hongqiao Airport. Uk citizens doesn't enjoy the visa exemption for 48 hours transit amd going out of the airport. If you transit in the same airport and the stopover is less than 24 hours, you don't need a visa.
