About:Shanghai Travel

I am coming from Helsinki and I have to change planes in Shanghai Pudong airport to go to Taipei. I also need to do the check-in again in Shanghai. How does that work if I do not have a Visa for China?
Thank you!

You are exempt from going through the procedures for obtaining a transit visa if you hold a through ticket and have booked seats on international airliners flying directly through China, and will stay in Shanghai for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport.
