Hi, I am planning to visit Taipei from 25 Dec 2010 to 3 Jan 2011. Any recommend places to go for x'mas and new year count down and shopping? as this is my first time to visit Taiwan :)What is the weather at that time around? Thanks

As I know, there will be a grand New Year's celebration and countdown held in front of the Taipei government building at night of Dec 31. On the other hand, you could go to Taipei 101 to experience the countdown with other travellers.For shopping, there are so many department stores in Taipei, which will start great sale promotions before Christmas. Just enjoy it!
