About:Chinese Holidays

Hi, I will be in Hangzhou and Shanghai from Mon 4th-Sun 10th Oct. I know this is the National Holiday week so I was wondering are the banks open as normal that week? Just thinking about exchanging money.

Banks are open as normal that week, but shorter at opening hours. I mean open a bit later and close earlier in the afternoon.
