About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Hi,

I am going back to Seattle, USA from Malaysia by taking two different plane. First, I will be departing to Xiaoshan International Airport from KLIA by taking Air Asia Airline. Then I will be stopping at XiaoShan International Airport for around 12 hours before taking my another flight from Xiao Shan International Airport to Seattle, USA.

I wonder do I need to apply a Chinese Visa?

It's stated that :

Visas are not required of aliens (except citizens of the United States and the United Kingdom), who hold final destination tickets and have booked seats on international airliners flying directly through China, and will stay in a transit city for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport.

As I am taking two different Airline, it's obvious that I will not be holding a final destination ticket to Seatle. Do I need to make a visa?

You do not need a transit visa to China if you do not leave the airport during your stopover.
