Hello,I am looking for the easiest way by train to get from Guangzhou to the Sheung Shui Station in Hong Kong.  I will be coming from Wuhan via the bullet train, but once in Guangzhou I am unsure of my best route.  Is there a direct train or must I connect in Shenzhen?  Am I able to purchase my tickets on the same day I travel or must I go to a website in advance?  Any advice is much appreciated.

I think you should transfer at Shenzhen which is more convenient. You train from Wuhan will arrive at Guangzhou South or Guangzhou North Train station. Afterwards, please take a city-bus or cab to Guangzhou East Train Station, where you could purchase a bullet train ticket to Shenzhen on the spot. The train will take you about 70 minutes on the way.Once arrive at Shenzhen Railway station, please follow the directions walking to the Luohu Border. Go through it, you could take the KCR East Rail train for one stop to Sheung Shui quickly in 8 minutes.
