About:China Transit Visa

I hold a Canadian passport and will be transiting at Beijing International Airport for about 8 hours. My final destination is Singapore. i would like to leave the airport to visit Beijing during those 8 hours. Do I still need to get a transit visa? If I do, how much does it cost? Can you get it issued at the airport in Beijing?

yes, you will have to apply for a China Transit visa which is C$50 for a single entry. You should apply for it from the China Embassy in Canada or a Consulate-general of China near your living place.
