sir my passport expiry date is 20-09-2010.i want to know how many days before expiry of my passport i should go to beijing ambassy?,what documents i should submit?,and i heard it will take 3-5 days to get the work done,and how much mony and time it will take? renewal can be extended up to how many years.

Application for a new passport is required to be submitted at least two months before the date of expiry of the current passport to facilitate processing of the application and issue of new passport in time. Following documents/papers are required to be submitted: • Application form No.EAP-1. • Original passport, current passport and additional booklets, if any. • Four recent colored passport size photographs.• Fee: RMB 335.00 (36 pages)/RMB 415.00 (60 pages). It takes three working days from the date of receipt of the relevant documents.
