About:China Embassy in Thailand

Hi,
I am a UK citizen and my partner is Swedish. We are currently living in Australia and plan to travel Asia in a few months. We were wondering if it is possible that we can get a China tourist visa whilst in Bangkok. We have no flights booked to China as we plan to travel by train/bus from Bangkok through to Vietnam then China, so will have no proof of leaving China.
Is it possible to apply for this visa from Thailand?

Ms.Kirsten, it is not a simple answer to this thing, sometimes, you can easily get a Chinese visa in a third country without return flight ticket or ticket out of China, sometimes, the visa officer will ask you to provide hotel reservation, flight ticket to the next destination (out of China), financial certificate, etc. There is not steady rules for it, which vary from person to person, greatly depends on your nationality. you can have a try to apply for Chinese visa in Bangkok without the flight ticket, Good Luck!
