About:China Flight

I am traveling from Hong Kong to Chicago. I will be changing airlines in Beijing with a 2 hour layover. I understand I must have tickets in hand to ultimate destination when entering the Beijing airport to avoid having to get a visa. My tickets will be electronic. Will an e ticket receipt suffice?
