Hi,late december I'm traveling to Sydney with a 10hour stopover in Shanghai Pudong airport.If I understood correctly a visa is not required for this transit and it is also possible to enter the city of Shanghai without a visa as long as the total transit time is less than 48hours? Are there facilities on the airport to safely store my bagage during my visit?Thank you.

Yes, you don't need a visa at Pudong Airport for transfer. I think you could go the the Luggage Left of the airport. It is safe enough. There is one located at the International Arrival Hall.
