My Father was born in Miao Kang Village , Chin Kang County of Fujian Province and my Mother was  born in the Philippines as Hua Qiao or native born Chinese, rooted from Nan An Fujian Province. I'm a oversees chinese here in the philippines, and at the same time a china passport holder, last year of April i went to shanghai as a tourist. My question is this, can i get a shanghai ID(hukou)and how?

If you want to be a Shanghai Resident, you have to meet some requirements, as for the details you have to contact the Public Security Bureau of Shanghai.
