I did it in 1978 and was on the cover of National Geographics kids' magazine World, (May 1979).
It's really bumpy and not 'board-friendly. So answer is: Yes you can ride a skateboard on the wall. (Truthfully and factually, C. Duncan, Honolulu, Hi).
